Everything is in Profile & settings. On iPhone, tap your initial at the top of the screen. On iPad, the web, and Mac, open the account menu at the bottom of the sidebar. The web calls it Profile and settings.

Chat is where you add things and ask questions. Write the way you'd text a friend: a dentist appointment, a birthday, a recipe, something due Thursday. Each one lands in its place in Browse, like Tasks, Calendar, or People, linked to what's already there. When you ask about it later, the answer comes from what you've kept.

Start on the web at app.yourbeckett.com, or download beckett for iPhone or iPad and sign up in the app. The same account works on the web, iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Get beckett

iPhone and iPad with iOS or iPadOS 17 or later, Mac with macOS 10.15 or later, and any up-to-date browser at app.yourbeckett.com. Everything stays in sync, so what you add on one shows up on the others.

Download the Mac app from the Mac page and sign in with your beckett account. If your sign-in link opens in your browser, use Paste login link in the app.

Start with one real thing on your mind, like a friend's birthday or a recipe you keep meaning to make. Send it in Chat, then open Browse to see where it went. The Guide in Browse shows every place and what you can do there.

Check your spam or promotions folder, and make sure the address is spelled right. Sign-in links expire after 15 minutes, so request a new one if it's been longer. Still nothing? Write to [email protected] from the address you're trying to use.

On the Mac app's sign-in screen, choose Paste login link. Copy the link from your email, paste it there, and choose Sign in with link.

Choose Sign in with Apple there too, with the same Apple Account. If you picked Hide My Email when you signed up, signing in with your personal email instead starts a separate, empty account.

On iPhone and iPad, open Profile & settings, then Account, and choose Sign out. On the web and Mac, choose Log out in the account menu.

You can't change it in the app yet. Write to [email protected] from your current address and include the new one.

Each email address starts its own account, and so does Sign in with Apple with Hide My Email. If beckett looks empty, sign out and sign in the way you did before. If you need things moved from one account to the other, write to [email protected] and include both addresses.

No. You sign in with Apple, or with a one-time link sent to your email.

Open Browse and choose the place it belongs, like Tasks or Notes. Search covers notes, tasks, people, projects, and messages at once. You can also ask in Chat: “Where did you put the garage code?”

Open the item and edit it directly, or ask in Chat, like “Move the dentist to 10.” Anything you don't want, you can delete.

Yes. Tap the mic in Chat, check the text, and send it.

Photos, PDFs, Word documents, Excel and CSV spreadsheets, and text or Markdown files, up to 20 MB each. You can attach up to 10 at a time in Chat, and beckett reads them and files what matters.

On iPhone and iPad, tap Share in any app and choose beckett. Links, text, and photos all work, and they land in Saved. On the web, use Upload a file in Saved.

On iPhone or iPad, open Profile & settings, then Apple Calendar, and turn on Sync with Apple Calendar. beckett reads the calendars on your device, and the events beckett creates go into a calendar named “Beckett,” so they show up in your Calendar app too. On the web, you can import an .ics file from Calendar.

Yes, through your iPhone or iPad. Add your Google or Outlook account to the Calendar app on your device, then turn on Sync with Apple Calendar in beckett's Profile & settings. Those events come along with everything else on your device. There's no separate Google or Microsoft sign-in.

Ask in plain words, like “Remind me to renew my passport in March,” or add “remind me an hour before” to a task. To choose which notifications reach you, open Notifications in Profile & settings.

Yes. Ask beckett to look something up and you'll get an answer with its sources. Describe an image and beckett makes it. beckett can also turn an itinerary, packing list, or outline into a PDF.

Yes. In Profile & settings, open Your data (Data & privacy on the web), then Import knowledge. Copy the prompt into ChatGPT or Claude, paste the answer back, and beckett files what's in it.

Yes, on iPhone and iPad. Add the Tasks widget for your next open tasks, or Priorities + Focus for today's priorities and a focus timer.

Choose light, dark, or your device's setting, and your accent color, under Appearance in Profile & settings. In Browse, you can reorder or hide places.

First, connect with them. In Profile & settings, open Connections and invite them with the email address they use for beckett. Once they accept, you can share projects, shopping lists, meal plans, your recipes, and your calendar with them.

Invites only reach people who already have a beckett account, at the email address they sign in with. Ask them to create an account, or check which address they use, then invite them again.

Only what you share. You both work from the same project, shopping list, or meal plan. Your recipes and calendar are shared read-only. Everything else in your beckett stays private to you.

To stop sharing one thing, open it and remove the person. To end everything at once, block them, which also removes your connection.

Yes, in beta. In Profile & settings on the web or Mac, open Agents and choose your agent to copy its setup message. Paste it into a new chat with that agent, and it walks you through connecting and setting up. After that, your agent can use what's in your beckett and save new things back. About agents

You see what the agent can reach before you approve. For each request, beckett sends back relevant information or the result of what you asked for, and the agent handles it under its own privacy policy.

Remove beckett in that agent's connector or app settings. That stops future access. Anything the agent already saved stays in your beckett until you delete it.

No. beckett works fully on its own, including web search and image generation. Agents are an optional extra.

Subscriptions bought in the App Store are managed in your Apple Account. On iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose beckett. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Manage subscriptions

In the same place you'd cancel: your Apple Account's subscription settings. Apple decides when the new plan starts.

Apple processes App Store payments, so refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.

On the subscribe screen, tap Restore purchases while signed in to the Apple Account you paid with. If that doesn't fix it, write to [email protected] with the email on your beckett account.

Apple retries the charge. Until it goes through, you can open and read everything in beckett, but you can't chat, add, or change things. Updating your payment method in your Apple Account usually fixes it.

They stay in your account. You can still sign in, export your data, report bugs, or delete your account, and everything is there if you subscribe again.

In Profile & settings, open Your data (Data & privacy on the web) and request an export. beckett emails you a compressed Markdown file, which opens in any text editor once unzipped. You can request one export a day.

In Profile & settings, open Your data (Data & privacy on the web) and choose Delete account. Your account and its data are removed from beckett right away, and this can't be undone. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription, so cancel that first. How retention works

Yes. Open it and delete it, or ask beckett to in Chat.

We don't read your notes, messages, journal entries, or anything else you keep in beckett, unless you ask us to for a support request or the law requires it.

beckett uses a small set of AI providers to understand and answer you, each listed with what it does on our subprocessors page. When you send a message, the provider gets what's needed to answer it, like your message, recent conversation, and relevant notes. beckett doesn't use your individual content to improve the service.

No. beckett is paid for by subscriptions. There are no ads, and we don't sell your data to anyone.

For the weather in your briefing and for local and travel details. You can say no, and beckett works without it.

Open Help & support and choose Report a bug. On iPhone, Help & support is in Profile & settings. On iPad, the web, and Mac, it's in the account menu. Or tell beckett in Chat that something went wrong, and check the report before it's sent. We reply in Bug reports, and you'll get a notification.

Check the place it belongs, like Tasks or Calendar, then ask again in Chat with the details, like the date or which list. If it keeps happening, report a bug so we can see what went wrong.

On iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app, tap Notifications, then beckett, and allow notifications. Then open Notifications in beckett's Profile & settings to see which kinds are on and whether quiet hours are set.

In the Settings app, open Privacy & Security, then Calendars, and give beckett Full Access. Then, in beckett's Profile & settings, open Apple Calendar and turn on Sync with Apple Calendar.

Update beckett from the App Store and restart the app. If it keeps happening, report a bug and say what you were doing when it happened.
